Bug Description

When the Macbook Air 3,1 is starting up, the bootsplash is never visible because of weird screen artifacting. Also, when coming awake after suspend, there's a lot of artifacting on the indicator-apps and Unity launcher.

The bootsplash problems are due to plymouth and unrelated to the artifacting after suspend. Well known issue I believe.

The corruption after suspend is bug #915265

Is there already a bug associated with the bootsplash problems? Perhaps we should just whittle this down to just the bootsplash issues and assign to Plymouth?
