problematic language switching

Bug Description

Do not switch the language (tried different options, ctrl+alt, ctrl+shift, CapsLock, etc...) provided that at this time any key is pressed.
In Ubuntu 10.xx it worked.

It may not seem a problem, but when you are typing quickly and often need to switch the language, the frequent failure is very annoying.

This bug is repeated everywhere, even in virtualbox.

That version is no more supported; please open a new bug report if the actual archive found version also has the same issue.
