Bug Description
Following the upgrade to Kernel 2.6.38-10 I was told that graphics was degraded mode (I can't recall the exact expression). I restarted Ubuntu 10.04 using the previous 2.6.32-32-generic kernel only to find that my graphics settings had be changed. Worse, invoking the nvidia package to try to reset everything back to my previous settings failed because there were no options presented to do so.
