package nvidia-current 270.41.06-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: nvidia-current kernel module failed to build

This is due to the kernel module not being able to make executables. When upgrading for an old distro, the cc found within /usr/bin does not have the same version as the gcc found within that same directory. The workaround is do make a symbolic link for cc to gcc4.5.

Possibly the same issue as when this happened with older versions of the nvidia driver? (bug 552286)
