xrandr rotate fails to perform

Bug Description

When running the command xrandr --output default --rotate <left,right,inverted> where <left,right,inverted> signifies "left", "right" and "inverted" respectfully; the terminal returns:

xrandr --output default --rotate left
xrandr: output default cannot use rotation "left" reflection "none"
xrandr --output default --rotate right
xrandr: output default cannot use rotation "right" reflection "none"
xrandr --output default --rotate inverted
xrandr: output default cannot use rotation "inverted" reflection "none"

The rotation does not occur
