Bug Description
System: Ubuntu 16.04.2 32-bit + HWE
Graphics card: GF 7300GT
Driver: Nvidia 304.135
With Nvidia's legacy driver opening the dash over a maximized window results in a freeze of X. X can be restarted through Ctrl + Alt + Backspace. Switching to nouveau solves the problem.
As long as a window remains unmaximized, there's no problem, even if it fills the entire screen.
