Bug Description

switching driver is fine, but after reboot the screen resolution is wrong and the window decoration is missing. further more, the dash does not appear.

This bug is caused by bugs #574397 and #1069365.

As you can see in the xorg.conf, the nvidia kernel module cannot be loaded. This is so, because it was simply not build because of missing kernel headers. The wrong screen resulution comes from the fallback. Workaround: install kernel headers and reinstall nvidia-current manually. Reboot.

I will close the bug -> status invalid.
