Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.04 precise with ppa:unity-team/sru using the Nvidia-current driver

Issue: Not detecting 2nd monitor.

Additional information: - Power supply is ok and I have verified that monitor, connection wire and the splitter are all working so it is not a hardware issue. I tried System settings -> Detect displays and Nvidia-settings -> display configuration -> Detect Displays, did not solve the issue.

I will update this bug if I find more info after trying out different settings.

Week 50- Same issue observed after installing Ubuntu 12.04 Precise with ppa:unity-team/sru on Nvidia machine.

The order of set up is as below:
- Installed 12.04
- Ran the updates using update manager
- Restart machine
- Added ppa
- Ran updates using sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
- installed Nvidia-current driver
-Restart machine

Additional info- I tried NvidiaXserver-settings -> display configuration -> twin mode, 2nd monitor display was back to normal. Trying to change resolution using system settings -> Display-> Resolution, again lost display on 2nd monitor.
