Bug Description

cid: 201201-10399

Tried both nvidia-experimental-310 and nvidia-experimental-304, suggested from jockey.
The graphic card is not working after driver installed.

Check with /usr/share/doc/nvidia-experimental-310/README.txt.gz , GT 520 is actually listed

Need to know what nvidia packages you have on your system, please run 'dpkg -l nvidia\*' and attach the result here.

Besides, does jockey suggest 304.64-0ubuntu0.2? This one should already have support for GT 520.

Removed the blocker tag. The nVidia card works fine using nouveau on all three ports (VGA, HDMI, DVI)

and the fact that jockey offers NOTHING for this card:

After trying (manually installed nvidia-experimental-310 because jockey offers nothing on this system with this card), I get no desktop.

Jockey does not offer any drivers for this card. With Nouveau, compiz and software rendering are not supported:
ubuntu@201201-10399:~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -c -p
OpenGL vendor string: VMware, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x301)
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 9.0

Not software rendered: no
Not blacklisted: yes
GLX fbconfig: yes
GLX texture from pixmap: yes
GL npot or rect textures: yes

Compiz supported: no

And we're running this nouveau driver.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, according to this report, you are not using the most recent version of this package for your Ubuntu release. Please upgrade to the most recent version and let us know if you are still having this issue. Thanks in advance.

Please use the "additional drivers" tool and select the 'nvidia-313' driver and retest the problem and see if that solves it.
