Bug Description

After resuming from suspend I'm getting the following symptoms

- blank screen
- no mouse pointer drawn
- system doesn't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Fn

I can however still ssh into the system and drive the system from there.

This seems to happen on about 50% of suspend/resumes (i.e. frequently but not always)

It looks like Nvidia is your primary GPU so I'm guessing you just need the fix for bug 1876632, coming soon.

affects: xorg (Ubuntu) → nvidia-graphics-drivers-570 (Ubuntu)
tags: added: nvidia suspend-resume

Hi @vanvugt, I was wondering about that -- in bug 1876632 you mention using xorg as poss. not affected, which is the reason I started using it, incl. gdm

$ grep Wayland /etc/gdm3/custom.conf
WaylandEnable=false

Just a datapoint to consider.

Thanks!

Yeah Xorg *seems* to mostly work because recovery has been implemented in mutter and gnome-shell for Xorg. But I wouldn't expect it to be totally reliable.
