2024-02-17 18:04:41 Jacob Morales attachment added Screenshot showing firefox and KDE System Settings issue on system resume from sleep. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2054204/+attachment/5746958/+files/Screenshot_20240217_115018.png
2024-02-17 18:07:16 Jacob Morales description I was able to narrow down this issue to using Nvidia drivers 535 & 545 on kernels 6.7.5 and 6.6.0 so far. It should affect all kernels in between. Does not occur with Nouveau display driver. Kubuntu 24.04 KDE 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks: 5.113.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel 5.7.5-060705-generic (64 bit) Graphics platform: X11 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open KDE System Settings window 2. Open Firefox (122.0.1) window (64 bit) 3. Open a Dolphin browser window 4. Open a terminal window 5. Make sure to make either the Dolphin or Terminal window the active one by clicking on it 6. Put computer to sleep 7. Wake computer from sleep and log in Firefox and KDE System Settings window content will be black on system resume. Clicking on the Firefox window will reload the graphical content for that window. Clicking the KDE System Settings window will cause the content to reload 3/4 of the way but some areas remain black, must close settings window entirely to fix the problem. Sometimes this behavior causes the desktop manager to crash (taskbar and background disappear for a few seconds and reloads entirely). If you make the Firefox window active and put the system to sleep, on resume the Firefox window loads correctly without any black areas. Sometimes this behavior causes the desktop manager to crash (taskbar and background disappear for a few seconds and reloads entirely). It also appears that for the windows that are not black, the window minimize, maximize and close buttons do not reload correctly. I have also noticed the title bar on windows missing entirely on system resume sometimes. If you make the Firefox window active and put the system to sleep, on resume the Firefox window loads correctly without any black areas.
