I encountered a similar error when installing CUDA Toolkit 11.0 (which includes the Nvidia driver with version number 450.51). This seems to be caused by a change function (https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/88dca4ca5a93d2c09e5bbc6a62fbfc3af83c4fca) in Linux.

After a few days, I found the guide https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/1986228 and successfully installed the driver. I hope it will help you to solve this problem.
