Not that I want to fill people's inboxes... but I also just upgraded to the 3.13.0-45-generic #74 on a Xeon W3680 and GeForce GTX 650Ti and it went through without problems. I looked through all my installed nvidia packages prior to the upgrade (with an "nvidia" filter in Synaptic Package Manager), and removed bbswitch-dkms which also removed nvidia-prime, neither of which seemed relevant to my system. I had a couple dkms warnings due to updating virtualbox, but nothing that crashed or failed. On reboot the screens did take a little longer to come up, but finally did to my original lightdm desktop. My current installed nvidia packages from the SPM filter are: dmraid libcuda1-331-updates libvdpau1 nvidia-331-update nvidia-opencl-icd-331-updates nvidia-settings ubuntu-drivers-common SPM and nvidia-settings reports a 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 driver version. I've not yet tried to force the 340.29 CUDA 6.5 driver (from NVIDIA website) I'd like to be running, as the system seems happy for now. On Wed, Feb 4, 2015 at 6:11 AM, Quinta Helmer
