Bug Description

I have set to use clang as cc (so that the system environment matches OS X better). Try force make use gcc so that such a cc=clang situation will be better handled.

Can someone fwd this bug to clang team and LLVMLinux team too (I don't know how to do that and who to fwd to) as this is a blocking issue preventing clang from building a useable Linux kernel.
