Bug Description

Kubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) x86

nvidia-319-updates (319.60-0ubuntu1)
(Same behaviour: nvidia-319 [319.32-0ubuntu7])

Steps:
* Starting Minecraft (snapshot 13w41b, Advanced OpenGL, Windowed) - doesn't matter if I play - menu only
* Closing Minecraft by hitting ingame Exit button (but it doesn't matter how I close it)

Expected behaviour:
* Minecraft closes

What happens:
* Minecraft closes
* Screen gets black
* Screen stays black with visible mouse (UI-Elements are recognized OR Plasma shows up, but scrambled (see attachment)

Things, i tried to fix this:
* Install nvidia-319-updates (Happens on nvidia-319, too!) (Screen gets scrambled)
* Disabling Flipping (nvidia-settings > OpenGL-Settings) (Screen gets scrambled)
* Purging nvidia-319-updates (=> noveau => no problems [Except less performance and opengl-bugs like strange shadows in glmark2])
* Reinstall nvidia-319-updates using jockey (Screen stays black with mouse pointer, responding to UI-Elements)

To temporary fix the issue, I have to disable 3D-Compositing, using Alt+Shift+F12, then, I can re-enable them using the same Shortcut.

Affected Programs:
* Only OpenGL-Programs
* NOT: glxgears, glmark2, if Minecraft was fullscreen (!)
* BUT: A Sample Application from JMonkey3D Java Engine (OpenGL, Windowed)

Notes: KDE: I'm using qtcurve

Graphics Card
Nvidia GT440

 Fehler [mi] mieq is *NOT* the cause. It is a victim.

------------

Status update: (29.10.13)

* Deleted ~/.kde
* Purged all nvidia drivers
* Installed nvidia-319

-> No kwin-crashes
-> Minecraft and other games running fine, but after closing them one time, the screen gets black for a couple of seconds (next time I play it on the session, it won't happen)

* Installed nvidia-319-updates

-> Kwin eats up memory (shared memory: ~600MB) then crashes after a while

* Purged nvidia-319-updates
* Installed nvidia-319

-> Runs fine (?) Will test.

Did some more testing:

(I switched back to nvidia-304 using jockey [didnt't help much :( ])

1. Stay @ Disabled 3D-Effects

* Start Minecraft
* Exit Minecraft
> Screen goes black for ~ 1s
* OK

2. User setting fault?
I switched to 13.10 by reinstalling it - keeping my home partition with all settings

* Created new user (Admin)
* Copied Minecraft from my account, chown
* Run Minecraft
* Close Minecraft
> Screen goes black for ~ 1s
* OK
