Bug Description
package nvidia-304 304.88-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
I get these errors when trying to install or remove any of the nvidia listed drivers. Since I cannot remove the driver I have to reinstalll to get it gone. This would be my 5'th time reinstalling. I have tried all the drivers. If there is a better way to remove the driver please let me know so I can help test.
I am running a Dell XPS L701x
VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF106M [GeForce GT 445M]
I really need to run the Nvidia driver. Nouveau does not cut it and causes the laptop to run VERY hot. Please let me know if I need to provide any more info.
