Bug Description

I try the 10.04 Beta2.
During booting it seems that the x-server crashes several times. Normaly comes a windows where i can choose the language and how to boot (installation or live-cd). But i get a message, the xserver cannot found hardware correctly, how to proceed.
Editing Configuration manual (dont work, nothing happens), boot cli or use fail safe mode for graphics. I choose fail safe and then the system boots directly to live-cd.
The Hardware:
Athlon64X2
Abit Mainboard (Same Problem on Asrock)
Geforce 6100 Chip Nforce 405 (says SysrescueCD during boot)
1 GB Ram
Ubuntu 10.04 Beta2 (i386)

Hello,
i bootet the System from the LiveCD, but at the moment i have no access to it.
Can you wait a few days? Maybe i can send you other informaitons that help you.
I know some people that have computer in the low-cost segment with this onboard
graphic.
When 10.04 dont work on them, what should they do?
Maybe it is possibe to create an choice, when the new driver crashes, ubuntu
switches to the nv driver?

I have a similar problem since upgrading to 10.04 (final) with a Nvidia GeForce Go 6150. The problem only occurs when booting from battery. It boots fine when the AC cord is in. It can still boot in failsafe mode on battery. When booting regularly on battery, I get a black screen and nothing happens. If resuming to terminal from recovery mode, I can use terminal but will get a black screen if trying to start X. Several other people have reported the same problem on this forum thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9281429.
