Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

(This is most likely an NVidia bug, I don't know of a better place to file it...)

Whenever I take a screenshot, the screen becomes severely corrupted and starts flickering, and slows down X for a while. This doesn't always happen - it looks like it requires switching between windows.
This always causes the problem:
- Run "sleep 10; import -window root whatever.png" in a terminal
- Switch to a different window and wait.
But if I remove "sleep 10", then it works fine.

I'm using KDE 4.3 RC2 with desktop effects enabled. I have an NVidia GeForce 9400M video card with proprietary drivers version 185.18.14. (I downloaded them from NVidia's website - version 180 that came with Ubuntu crashes too often to be usable.)

I got a similar problem on another computer, using NVIdia drivers version 180.
The screen didn't get corrupted, but the screenshot itself is wrong - the Firefox window is blank.
