Bug Description

Hello

I am using Ubuntu 9.04.

Linux real time kernel uses my 2 cpu and this is better than rt kernel 2.6.26.(only 1 cpu enabled)

But I cannot make X11 server work with this 2.6.28-3-rt kernel AND Nvidia drivers (version 180)
Every time I reinstall Nvidia drivers from the rt kernel, I cannot startX !
I must reconfigure X11/xorg.conf without Nvidia drivers.

Is there a way to make 2.6.28 rt kernel and nvidia drivers work together ?

Hi 182didier4r,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

You may want to try:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-rt

Hello.

linux-headers-rt installation fixed my problem as mentionned by jake Tremper.
And I have learned how to track errors with /var/log/Xorg.0.log file.

I had installed linux-headers-2.6.28-rt without linux-headers-rt before posting.
Sorry,

Thank you very much for your answers.
