Bug Description
After the recent upgrade to version 180.35 of the Nvidia xorg drivers on Kubuntu Jaunty, numerous problems occur with KDE4.2 related to process signals. Any child process of a Qt process cannot be killed by any method except "kill -9" Any attempt to kill such a process will result in the immediate zombification of the killing process. This, in turn, causes numerous system problems. Most notably, some computers will not log off, and the computer cannot be unlocked from screensaver mode. Proof of this issue exists from a number of users who reported the issue in the linux section of the nvnews.net forums.

Yes, since the driver update logout/reboot don't work in Kubuntu Jaunty, and the system monitor is
celebrating a zombie party.
