2009-08-04 18:48:26 Lech Lorens description Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 Switching tabs on Launchpad pages is extremely slow in Shiretoko. E.g. Shiretoko takes about 30 seconds to switch between https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.5 and https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mentoring, while in normal situation a tab switch takes less than 1 second. When Shiretoko freezes to handle the tab switch, top reports that the X.org process takes up 100% CPU. I am running X.org (version 2:1.6.0-0ubuntu14) in a dual-head setup with one of the monitors rotated by 90° with Xinerama enabled on Nvidia GeForce FX 5200. I am using the 173.14.16 Nvidia binary drivers (nvidia-173-kernel-source - version 173.14.16-0ubuntu01). Ubuntu 9.04. Package versions: firefox 3.5.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1, nvidia-173-kernel-source 173.14.16-0ubuntu01 Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 Rendering Launchpad pages is extremely slow in Shiretoko.
