Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-common

Using maverick, I used Synaptic to download and install upgrades when this happened. I get the same (or very similar) bug with the 2.6.35-1 kernel, but strangely enough that is the kernel I am currently using. So even though this failed to upgrade it still seems to boot and work.

I have Maverick Studio. The upgrade to the 35 kernel left me with no video. Just a black screen that eventually defaults to the initramfs busybox.

So I went back to using 34 and it was working... and then, silly me, I tried to install the proprietary nvidia driver.

Now I have no video at all.

Nothing special to report other than I was trying to allow Update Manager to perform its usual updates, in this case a kernel upgrade.
