unity_support_test was rewritten from scratch in nux 0.9.38, so your crash should not exists anymore. Can you reproduce it with the latest packages in natty?

I just did a fresh re-install of 11.04 and completed all updates. The problem does appear to be resolved.

given the fact that unity_support_test was re-written and also a confirmation for the issue not happening anymore, I am closing this bug as fixed, if someone still faces this same issue please let us know or even report a new crash so that we actually know the new issue is the same as this one.

It seems that installing fglrx trigger the bug. While I don't have fglrx all work ok; after the installation and reboot apport shows the bug report. I unistalled fglrx and everything runs normal.
