Is this really a dup of bug #810182 which is marked as triaged in Oneiric with a milestone of Precise, and is marked as fix released in Precise. As I am seeing it start happening with the latest nux-tools on Saucy then is it not a new bug?

I consistently get the crash on booting (though not if I run unity-support-test manually) so if there is anything I can do to help diagnose the problem then let me know.

Stephen M. Webb (bregma) wrote :

If the problem happens only during boot and not when run from the command line, I strongly suspect a problem in the new video drivers, since the unity-support-test program just connects to the X server and queries capabilities, and has not had any code changes in about a year.

Do you get a crash report in /var/crash log on every boot?

Colin Law (colin-law) wrote :

I thought I was getting a report in /var/crash on each boot, but now that is not happening (I have removed the original report). However on each boot, in dmesg I still see
unity_support_t[1101]: segfault at 1 ip 08049232 sp bfc1ed60 error 4 in unity_support_test[8048000+3000]

I had told it not to tell me about the error when I sent the report, but I thought that removing the crash log files would cause it to log it again.
