Binary package hint: ntfs-3g
I have Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 installed on my laptop in a dual-boot configuration. Also, having copied a directory from Ubuntu to \Users\

Hi,
What ntfs-3g version are you using ?
I am not sure for Windows 7, which I do not have, but on Vista there is no "Application Data" directory any more, it has been replaced by a symbolic link :
[linux@pavilion2 ~]$ ls -l "/vista/ Users/Jean- Pierre_ 2/Application Data" Users/Jean- Pierre_ 2/Application Data -> /vista/ Users/Jean- Pierre_ 2/AppData/ Roaming
lrwxrwxrwx 2 linux root 180 Nov 8 2008 /vista/
The Vista symbolic links are supported by ntfs-3g since ntfs-3g-2009.11.14
PS The links you reference are related to problems which have been fixed long ago.
Regards
Jean-Pierre
