Natilus will not mount non linux

Linux asus 2.6.28-4-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 6 19:34:01 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

This just started today 01/10/2009

Nautilus will no longer mount any volumes Windows volumes

1st error box (this happens every time I try to mount non linux volume)
Cannot mount volume.
Unable to mount the volume 'Sata_D'.
Details:
Cannot get volume.fstype.altnative

2nd error box (got this only once)
Unable to mount location
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
