Bug Description

hi!

Pls upgrade NTFS-3G to the most current stable version. Keeping in mind, that this is an LTS-version & W10 was released since the last sync.

I think there is a misunderstanding here and in the Debian bug report. Debian (and then Ubuntu) does not follow the base ntfs-3g release. Debian packages the advanced release (which has AR in its version numbering). So the latest AR release is 2015.3.14AR.3, not 2016.2.22, which is a base release.

The changelog here is wrong. It is for the base Version 2015.3.14 (March 31, 2015), not 2016.2.22. The correct one is here http://www.tuxera.com/community/open-source-ntfs-3g/#tab-1414502495464-2-9

@ Amr: Thanks for pointing at the incorrect changelog, this is now corrected.

Even though there is a new AR-Version:
http://jp-andre.pagesperso-orange.fr/download-tarball.html#ntfs-3g_ntfsprogs-2016.2.22AR.1.tgz

It's anyway far to late for Xenial and certainly no one would want experimental ntfs-progs tool in a LTS

The more I see things like this happening, I'm considering to leave for a rolling release.

Right, it's synced automatically in next cycle into Yakkety Yak, which is just not a LTS.
