Bug Description
Hi,
I have a dual boot Windows 8/Ubuntu 12 on a SSD drive and a shared NTFS partition (for data storage) on another hard drive. I noticed that some of the files I edited under Linux (they were Matlab source code file) were corrupted. They actually looked like images that are opened with a text editor. By curiosity, I changed the '.m' extension to '.png', and I noticed they were screenshot of a video game I played (in Windows) just after working on these files in Linux. The games I played as well as the Matlab files were all on the shared NTFS partition. Only recently edited Matlab files were corrupted
Now I do not dare opening my code files, fearing I might lose them again if I boot with Windows.
A similar problem is described here:
I don't know about the release as I am in office now. All what I can say is that I am using Ubuntu 12 and it is regularly updated
