For me, the problem appeared to be related to the googletalk plugin:

I do not have the GoogleTalk plugin installed and nspluginwrapper has a segmentation fault on install or update.

For some reason, though I have 64bit installed, it's looking in /usr/lib/ rather than /usr/lib64:

I'm not sure this bug is a duplicate, anyway for me removing googletalk plugin works!

I agree that the bug is not a duplicate. My dmesg ends with a segfault related to libnpgoogletalk64, and the bug that this one allegedly duplicates has a different error in the dmesg.

I take that back. This bug is a duplicate of that one. The one that all the commenters here have is a new one that is related to Google Talk. The original reporter does not have libnpgoogletalk64 in the dmesg log.
