Seems to be a problem with live TV streaming from BBC. I do have a licence and all was fine until this morning 8th March 2017. YouTube clips are fine, cached BBC iPlayer video is fine.

Isolated the problem to NoScript. 'Allow scripts globally' in NoScript allows BBC video content, live and cached.

Further isolated to llnwd.net
When this is allowed in NoScript BBC video content works fine. When blocked, the above error occurs. Fully repeatable. I no longer consider this a bug but leave the posting up in case anybody else has experienced this updating problem.
