npm is uninstallable again on precise

Bug Description

Cannot install npm on precise server. Because of that chef scripts crash. My nodejs is:

ii nodejs 0.10.26-1chl1~precise1

root@HOST:/home/tdi# apt-get install npm
Reading package lists... Done

Hi,

we need some more information. From a terminal window please run:

sudo apport-collect 1293082

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

I cannot gather the information , apport collect says this.

Package npm not installed and no hook available, ignoring
