Notifications don't play well with Compiz/Unity workspace switcher

Binary package hint: notify-osd

If you are zoomed out into the Compiz/Unity exposé-style workspace switcher when a notify-osd bubble is triggered, rather than appearing in the screen corner as usual, it appears in tiny form on each visible virtual desktop in the grid.

However, moving the mouse to the corner of the screen where the bubble should appear still causes each of the mini bubbles to fade.
