Bug Description
Binary package hint: xsplash
I've installed the drop-down terminal Guake, and let it start-up on login. When it is started up it uses Notify OSD to let the world know it is working.
This message is shown when Xsplash is still running, it looks weird to have a notification balloon over it.

There's not much we can (or should) do in xsplash itself to fix this. What we really need is a service that is aware of when the desktop is loaded [1], and possibly have notify-osd queue up notifications until it's certain that we're loaded.
