Bug Description
Binary package hint: notify-osd
In Jaunty:
notify-osd:
Installed: 0.9.11-0ubuntu3
Notify-OSD daemon should be more intelligent with its logging capabilities.
notify-osd.log file under user's .cache folder is only opened once, when the daemon start. If the file is modified somehow during the process, the file cannot longer been updated and, moreover, the user does not receive any warning about it.
The process should check if the file is opened before trying to write anything and, if not, open it and append the new content to the file.
