Bug Description

Notify-osd fonts in Xubuntu should use Xfce's default fonts. I like using small fonts, and notfy-osd fonts are really huge, they should automatically adapt or allowed to be customized

I believe this bug is not a duplicate, what i reported is that after changin fonts in XFCE, the fonts in notify-osd reamined the same.
I managed to change the fonts in notify-osd to the one's i use by installing gconf-editor and editing GNOME's default font and DPI settings.
My XFCE settings are Sans 8 DPI 73, while the gnome settings were set to Sans 10 and DPI 96, changing this to my XFCE settings solved my probelm and notify-osd bubbles now have a correct font size.
Now, notify-osd should check for XFCE settings so it is compatible iwth XFCE or XFCE should change GNOME settings to be compatible with notify osd, i would think of the first one, cause i don't think XFCE is willing to be dependant on GNOME configurations, after all they're trying to make a different desktop and they already have enough GNOME dependencies i believe.
This should be definitely taken as a bug, at leat for Xubuntu users.

Until the developers for notify-osd allow changing the fonts, Xfce will not be able to do so. If the font size is no changeable, it is not changeable in any desktop environment. Xfce developers will not be the modifiers, Ubuntu developers will. It is their decision to not allow you to change the font size.

Yes, i know that, i will post a bug in notify-osd then. This should not be so difficult to fix, just make notify-osd check XFCE's settings.

This report is not a duplicate and it is not invalid. Notify OSD is supposed to base its font face and size on the standard application font face and size. If XFCE is to be a targeted environment, that means Notify OSD needs to recognize your XFCE font setting.
