notify-osd crashed with SIGSEGV in free()

Binary package hint: notify-osd

Ubuntu Jaunty. Notify-OSD 0.9.7-0ubuntu1 stopped working after todays updates.
It does not show any notifications and crashes after a while. It does not even fallback to the old notifications.
Dell XPS m1330 laptop with external monitor connected.
