Bug Description

Binary package hint: notify-osd

The spec says that the bubble should not be started as hidden if the mouse cursor is already in the bubble area. It should become hidden only when the cursor leaves the area, and comes back in

Yeah, I've not been able to implement that yet.

Has this been "fixed" in 9.10? Also, not sure I agree with the spec. If I'm going to close a tab in Firefox and a notification pops up (and stays unhidden), it blocks my ability to interact with Firefox appropriately. Wouldn't it be better if the notification was automatically blurred and faded and I just had to move my mouse away to see what it says, if interested?
