new notification pop-up in 9.04 alpha 4 wrong place displayed

The new notification pop ups in Jaunty J. 9.04 do not accept the changing concerning the placement. The pop up works but if in the menu system - preferences - pop up notifications i change to bottom right, the notification is still displayed on the top right corner. even if i chose all other options, the pop up notification is still top right.

running Jaunty Jackalope, development branch 9.04. alpha 4.
2.6.28-8-generic

package (am not sure about this though):

notification-daemon
a daemon that displays passive pop-up notifications 0.4.0-0ubuntu2

notify-osd
daemon that displays passive pop-up notifications 0.8-0ubuntu4

any other info needed?

i don't think it's duplicate. in the other bug the issue is the menu display of deamon or osd of the notifications. THIS bug report is about the actual settings that are not being applied after changing them.

and i ONLY have one menu entry which is the "pop up notification"

It is a duplicate. NotifyOSD has no means currently to change position.
The menu entry only alters the old notification system and so has been
removed or should be being removed from the menu to stop confusion.
