Bug Description
Binary package hint: notification-daemon
With every notification show, notification-daemon 0.3.6-0ubuntu2 leaks two X11 windows as the following commands demonstrate:
notify-send "$(date)"
xwininfo -root -children | grep notification-daemon | wc -l
The problem seems to be fixed in upstream version of notification-daemon 0.3.7.
Christian Hammond suggests to upgrade libnotify and notification-daemon anyway,
as releases 0.4.4 and 0.3.7 contain "lots of bug fixed and memory leak fixes".
Maybe solving this ticked also solves #67129.

This patch fixed the leak for me. Maybe it makes sense to run valgrind on notification-deamon with ubunu theme, as notification-daemon is used frequently in ubuntu.

Chris moved some folders, so the patches have to be patched for 0.3.7.

This patch also required some code changes to apply.

Closing because of 'The problem seems to be fixed in upstream version of notification-daemon 0.3.7' in original post.

Duh, I was not carefully enough: After applying 01_ubuntu_ theme.patch and 02_make_ ubuntu_ theme_default. patch to notification-deamon 0.3.7 it also is leaking.
