The Launchpad build shows five errors. The first is a real error, which I reproduce locally in LXC. The other four appear to be proxy-related issues which I do not see when building locally, and Debian appears not to hit either; the tests presumably depend on network connections which are not available in the launchpad buildd's.
I confirmed that Debian's updated -4 package resolves the first failure. So just need to figure out resolution for the proxy issues.
