2011-03-17 01:52:34 Jeremy Bícha description Binary package hint: libreoffice Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64, LibreOffice 3.3. In vanilla builds of LibreOffice, extension NLPSolver (non-linear solver for Calc) is installed as bundled extension. It is not the case for the Ubuntu version. Installing thise extension from OpenOffice.org repository is possible and works fine but the NLPSolver coming with the vanilla version has been localized. So it is a pity that not have a nice localized non-linear solver in Calc. Best regards. JBF Freeze exception and main inclusion request justification: OpenOffice.org & LibreOffice Calc have a solver built in for linear programming but for more complex situations, a nonlinear solver is needed. LibreOffice ships NLPSolver (which adds the additional algorithms to the built-in solver) as a bundled extension so it can reasonably be expected to be in the version that Ubuntu ships as well. Furthermore, I have confirmed that installing the extension from extensions.openoffice.org does not include l10n for the additional user interface but the Debian package does. http://www.libreoffice.org/features/extensions/
