Bug #440888 reported by Miha Vrhovnik on 2009-10-02

Fix Released
nginx (Ubuntu)
Declined for Karmic by Thomas Ward

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nginx

1.) 9.10 beta
2.) 0.7.61-1ubuntu2
3.) getting a confirmation, that the config file is ok
e.g just like running it directly

mvrhov@mvubdevel:/etc/nginx$ sudo nginx -t
the configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf syntax is ok
configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test is successful

4.) This is what's getting printed when config is ok
mvrhov@mvubdevel:/etc/nginx$ sudo /etc/init.d/nginx configtest
Testing nginx configuration: nginx.

And this when something is wrong with it;
mvrhov@mvubdevel:/etc/nginx$ sudo /etc/init.d/nginx configtest
Testing nginx configuration: mvrhov@mvubdevel:/etc/nginx$

I believe that it wouldn't hurt to print out everything that nginx does regardles of the status.

Thank you for your bug report, I've forwarded it to Debian.
I'm marking it as wishlist, since it is working (when considering the exit code), but not verbose enough.
