Bug Description

This failure occurred while I was trying to install the 'Plone 5' Content Management System (CMS) with Nginx as a server on Ubuntu 16.4 (the same happened with nginx-core). However, I had no problem installing 'Plone 5' and Nginx on Ubuntu 14.04.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

From the above log message it appears that the issue is the conf file is
not present. As a result the nginx server will not start.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem,
rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as 'Incomplete'.

However, if you believe that this is really a bug in Ubuntu, then we would
be grateful if you would provide a more complete description of the problem
with steps to reproduce, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu
rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug
status back to "New".

For local configuration issues, you can find assistance here:

Changed in nginx (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Joshua: You and I might want to have a talk about bug triage/handling for nginx in certain cases.

Andre: This is not a bug in the existing packaging or even Ubuntu itself, but usually a case of a package doing something evil and removin config, but it has a workaround and a way to fix this - run 'sudo apt-get remove --purge nginx-common && sudo apt-get install nginx-common'. This will install a fresh default configuration. Install any other dependencies for Plone again (including whichever nginx version got installed) and you should not have this issue again.
