Bug Description
Hi,
this is on a fresh natty installation.
Tried to install nfs-kernel-server. During setup of the package the init script times out:
Creating config file /etc/default/
* Exporting directories for NFS kernel daemon... [ OK ]
* Starting NFS kernel daemon
rpc.nfsd: writing fd to kernel failed: errno 110 (Connection timed out)
rpc.nfsd: unable to set any sockets for nfsd
invoke-rc.d: initscript nfs-kernel-server, action "start" failed.
dpkg: error processing nfs-kernel-server (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Processing triggers for libc-bin ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
Errors were encountered while processing:
nfs-kernel-server
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Package nfs-kernel-server remains in status half-conf.
Starting the nfsd manually also fails, famous last words of the init script:
+ printf * Starting NFS kernel daemon
* Starting NFS kernel daemon + /usr/bin/expr 225 - 1
+ /usr/bin/tput hpa 224
+ log_progress_msg nfsd
+ :
+ start-stop-daemon --start --oknodo --quiet --nicelevel 0 --exec /usr/sbin/rpc.nfsd -- 8
rpc.nfsd: writing fd to kernel failed: errno 110 (Connection timed out)
rpc.nfsd: unable to set any sockets for nfsd
