Bug Description

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 11.10
Release: 11.10

Every time I log in to KDE, a SIM PIN unlock required dialog pops up. If I cancel the dialog or enters the PIN and enter the root password in the following dialog, my laptop hangs. Power off seems to be the only way out.

I've searched through the logs but have so far not been able to catch anything odd. It is possible it is lost due to the hang.
