Bug Description
Network Management in KDE magically "forgets" that it knows how to connect to an access point. For reference the AP in question is using 802.11n only, with AES encryption only. All other networking types and encryption types have been disabled in the AP, which is functioning the same as it did in Natty.
Now, in Oneiric, Network Management will connect successfully, but then after logging out or rebooting, it will no longer connect and instead shows the Red Circle with Slash icon. Opening the widget still shows the correct access point listed, but attempts to click it to connect are futile.
The workaround is simple: click the Manage Connections button, delete the access point, and create the connection again. Connection is immediate, as expected. This behavior is the same with both the open source Broadcom driver and proprietary Broadcom STA driver.
