Bug Description

Requiring a caching server on every machine is bloatware, and especially not appreciated on my old 500Mhz/600Mhz laptop with maxed out ram of 384MB.

You can turn off starting dnsmasq by network-manager by editing the configuration in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf:

Simply remove the line:

dns=dnsmasq

Linked with #992411 which wishes that the dnsmasq-base package could be removed without removing network-manager.
