Bug Description
Ubuntu 12.04 - When I boot up I get a "connection established" message for my wired network. I can browse the web, etc and everything works fine. The problem is that when I clieck on the network manager it shows "Wired Network disconnected" and will not let me connect to my VPN until I disable networking then re-enable it.

I deleted the wired network then added it again. After a reboot it seems to work OK and does not require me to disable networking and renabling it just to connect to my VPN.
