Bug Description

When connecting to a wireless network, in either Gnome 3 GUI or Ubuntu Unity, I have found that when connecting to a wireless network using WPA, the connections hangs, saying 'connecting'

I am asked for the WPA password several times, in what appears to be in a gnome window followed by a unity ambiance window.

In other words, a window pops up asking for a WPA password, followed by a second different window asking for the same thing.

It has always been slow to connect, but since the addition of Gnome3 shell, it now asks twice.

However, it will try to connect for about 5-10 mins. Once connected, it then works fine.

If this helps, my spec:

At this point is where I am asked for the password.

Hello @all,

I confitm the bug. I have Thinkpad T43p running under Ubuntu 11.10 with GNOME 3, and I also get two windows asking for a WPA password when trying to connect to my home network.

Can it be somehow related to the KeyRing-Manager (passwords' manager), which - as I read - has been changed in Gnome 3? Can it be, that user must activate his KeyRing to enable storing of password?

Greetings from Hamburg,
Andrey
