GSM wizard strings are too long; can't fully show wizard on some resolutions

Bug Description

on a Acer aspire one mini pc i was trying to setup a mobile broadband connection but after the first step when i have to

"choose your Providers country or region"

i cannot see the "continue" button because the wizard interface is too large and the "Continua" button is out of screen area to continue i must to drag the wizard window to the left...

That's a little tricky, since any number of translations could have wildly different string sizes...

Regardless, it does look like it's a little long on my system as well, even if it fits in the screen nicely. Definitely worth spending a bit of time looking at for 12.10.

Thomas, you've been working hard to triaging bugs so far. Want to try your hand at fixing this? It should be a simple matter of coming up with either a clever way to rewrite the texts, or to use GTK to ellipsize or split to two lines where necessary.

This needs work, but not something that can be changed this late in the cycle. We're past UI Freeze, and this would require a number of string changes to simplify/shorten the original strings, then re-translating everything.

Unassigning for now, but we should definitely look back into it after 12.10 is released.
